This one is really good. My best friend has 2000 Ford mustang with a D1 Procharger pushing 17lbs, exhaust and just a ton of stuff! He pushes 410 on the dyno, runs a 12.4 at the track up here in Vegas (altitude is 2200 feet). So anyways I thought that he would just kill me if we raced. But HELL NO! I could't believe it, all I have is a Stinger intake and X pipe. We raced from a roll from 30 MPH and by the time I got into third I had at least 2 cars on him

better check your facts on that boost level 9-10lbs is about all the stock short block will take. If he is forged than with 17lbs he should be well over 500. something is not right here. anyways good kill on the stang.

Nice! The cobras are very persky, well for my 01 they are. If I had a $ for every time a GT reved on me on the street here I would have 2 Zs!

don't get me wrong, I love my Z06 but my old 03 cobra had a few tricks in her and would eat my Z06 alive. I used to love to spank headstrong vette owners. now I'm trying to work on the Z06 to make it faster. from a stop I used to pull about 6 lengths to 100 on my friends Z06. the cobra had only about $2000 in mods. don't underestimate the factory blown fords

I know the Cobras are fast especialy with a pully upgrade and dynotuned. But hey if you look at it, it's still only a Mustang...
And on an other subject, I have a buddy with a progressive 200 shot on his Z that cost him less than $2000 that is running mid 10's

some of those guys with cobras (who I also believe have a much lesser car) spent $20gs less and will kick your *** in a straight line. We own better cars. ours handle better. our our more sexy. ours ride better. etc. I'm just saying that the next time one of those pulls up next to you, might want to swallow the pride a little when you get your *** handed to you.
yes, dollar for dollar in mods, Z06 wins but they have a lot of dollars left.
don't flame, I was just trying to contribute real world experience in the situation.

If you can read, I said that our cars (Z06s) are better in every way. Yes, I own a Z06. I own several vehicles and can drive anything I want.
A mildly modified cobra will give a stock Z06 a run for his money. That is all I was stating. Quit being pig headed. Maybe I'll get some video of a run for you. I still know the guy I sold the cobra to. My Z06 is stock. You can watch me lose badly.
I was simply trying to make you understand that not all cobras are stock and can be made to go very fast with very little money. I like all kinds of performance vehicles. I went to a car meet yesterday with all kinds of cars. We enjoyed each others company as well as the rides. I didn't walk around with my nose in the air because "we are the top of the food chain"

I agree that a modded Cobra could run with a stock Z06 but I dis-agree with the 17lbs of boost though, he must have a hole it some where. 17 lbs of boost should put him well over 410 rwhp. Also isnt this a GT with 2 valve sohc heads and a Procharger not a Cobra.
