I've heard of people rigging up a simple toggle switch to the main wire for the antenna and then just putting the switch somewhere up front where it is not visible but accessible when needed. It shouldnt be a big deal and you could just turn the power on and off to the antenna motor whenever you wanted to.
Maybe this will help.
I wired in a toggle switch, using these instructions from the Tech Tips section of forum, when installing my after market power antenna for my Z06.
Works great!
Mid America motorworks has a switch for 19.99 that will keep your antenna down when your're listening to CD's or cassettes. It is on page 90 of their new catalog. It says it takes less than 30 minutes to install with no modifications. Hope this helps.

Or, save yourself the $15Vette Tax and get a 12V toggle switch at any Radio Shack or even at Walmart
It's sometimes hard to believe the inflated prices these places try to rip you off with on common items just because you're using it for a corvette!
Just wondering if anyone figured out how to rig the antenna so it stays down while listening to CD's?
Thanks,
Dave
I suggest that you purchase (from Mid America) the switch that is made for this purpose.
I know that you can 'save' about $10 by going to Radio Shack and purchasing one there. However, the MA one is allready provisioned with the wiring necessary for installation of the switch.
On both my Verts I installed the switches right next to the cig lighter (in the indented area there).
In doing so it allows it to be totally out of the way.
Run the wires is not a big issue, just follow the carpet edge and insert them underneath.
