$5,169, this seems like the best price I have seen. Does anyone know of a better deal?
I can't wait. :-)
Belloc, depends if you must have a new engine and what future mods you are going to do to it. I know the tuners sometimes have LS6 engines they have pulled from their customers available for around $3500. Check with 21st century motorsports, Lingenfelter, etc. For the price of the Gm engines you might be able to get a used LS6 with some mods on it [Cam, intake, etc.]. Good luck.

Thanks but I've decided on a GM crate motor. I was thinking about headers and maybe an aftermarket intake? Any thoughts?
For $5000.00 + all the extras you could have one hell of a motor built that'll destory a stock Z06. Also like mentioned above... the tuners will sell the motors they pull out of customers cars who get built motors or 427 etc. They're generally very low mileage too. Just depends on how smart you want to be with you money. I'd take m '97 motor and have it re-built w/ a stroker crank and a nice set of H/C. There's noting wrong w/ an ls1 block.
