Default How big are C5 drivers?

Well I have definately decided to get a C5, but I think I am just too big. I will have to get an auto and even then the car is just too small, I think. I sat in a m6 coupe and I can't get my foot off the clutch in a fast safe manor and I sat in a vert auto and my legs seem to long and the seat didn't seem to go back enough to make room. I am hoping a coupe auto will be a little better. Is there any pacage on a C5 that would have more room than others? I sat in a (2001 6-speed and 50th. auto vert) I do think there was some stuff behind the verts seat, but still cramped.

How big are all you guys? I am 6'4" and 280lbs and its a "tight" fit, lol.

I am 6'6" and weigh in at 255lbs. No issues with shifting my 6 speed or sliding into the seat. Seat exit draws the chair way back in order to get in and out.

6'3" here and 240 lbs. My coupe fits me real well...

Play around with the seat controls...there are certain positions where I"ll slide the seat bottom a bit forward and get a bit more "lean-back" in the seatback. Experiment.

I'm 6" 3" and 315 pounds. I have an 04 Coupe and it fits just fine. My only problem is getting in and out. I back in, sit down, and swivel my legs in easily. On getting out, I swivel my legs out and then push up and out with my left hand on the left edge of the seat.

Sometimes people laugh and point as I get in and out, but it is the most comfortable and fun car I have ever driven.

6'6" and 300lbs. with the seat moved all the way back on the tracks and completely down, I am fine.

If you are getting either an '03 or '04, you can have an '02 headliner put in that will get rid of that buldge in the roofline just behind your head, giving you another 3" of headroom.

It's just a silly honeycomb piece of plastic I can compress with my bare hands that was put in to satisfy some gov't rollover regulations. would not do anything to save your bacon in an actual rollover in my opinion.

with an '02 headliner in place, I can even wear my helmet on the track and still have about 1/2" of headroom

Then I need to find an older one to sit in. I amlooking to buy a 98-00, but I have only sat in 2004s, nothing older. Also I remember there being something behind the seat of the 50th Anv. I sat in tonight.

Plus I have shorter legs I wear 32" inseam in my pants even though I am 6'4", well 6'3.5", lol. I guess I may not be use to a car hugging its driver.

Thanks for the hope guys.

6' 275, my coupe fits nice. Actually I do not consider myself fat, just way too short. If I were 7'8" I would actually be the ideal weight.

In my first post I forgot to mention that I have an 01. one thing that you have to do is take the time to adjust the seat which may take 5 to 10 minute to get in good seating position for you.

Default cockpit feel

alltaken I think you are right you may just not be used to the way the cockpit wraps around you. It is a different feel that many other vehicles. I is actually very warm and fuzzy once you get used to it.

I'm 6'3" with a 32 inseam and I can get very comfortable in my 04. My only problem is that if I have the blue top on and I am at a light I have to lean forward to see it change
