I purcased my Baer Eradi Speed rotors + 1/+ 2 and for insurance i purcased their touring pads to aviod any problems. I installed the system took it easy for about 100 miles then did the break in processes and noticed the brakes Squeaking uncontrolably at low speeds. I also noticed heat spots on both front rotors all the way around. The spots are begining to turn blueish in color and squeaking is still present after 3,000 miles. I dont track the car or break to aggressivly. I called the company and they requested a picture witch I will send them tommarow just wondering if anyone had this problem and is their a fix any comments would be great.

Silmilar to another recent thread ... I got the same set up, but I got Hawk pads .... guess what? I've learned the squeak is normal. "It's a race car with performance brakes" ... come one ... say it with me so it sounds natural when you tell other people (and recite it to yourself). It's true though

I had the same problem when I bought my Eradispeeds... the vendor said stick with the hawks... after 30 days MY eradispeeds were almost ruined.. they squealed constanly on stopping specially at low speeds.. I put my OEM pads back on and they immediatly stopped squealing. I still have them on the car and it never fails to stop.. and there is no squealing..

You gotta be kidding! I got my info from a general mech. who works on Vettes. Just goes to show you, nothing's 100% BTW, what do you mean ruined? What happened to the rotors? Thanks for the info Bill! Why are you up so late? Elections?

My rotors started to get grooves in them.. Hard spots on the pads cause this... the Hard spots were harder than the rotors.. and that why they were squealing..I tried to return them to the vendor but he said it was too late.. so I have a new set of hawk pads with about 400 miles on them.

I haven't noticed the hard spots ... yet. But I'll keep an eye out. Thanks Bill!

My Baers have also been prone to squealing and I have Hawk pads too. So far it is not too bad, but if it gets worse, I will be putting the stock pads back on. Never had a problem with them.
I got a set of Hawk pads free with my EradiSpeeds but decided not to install them after hearing similar complaints when I swapped in the rotors back in '02. I seasoned the rotors exactly as Baer instructs and they have been dead silent, smooth and strong since day 1. I'm still using the stock pads. The rotor fire paths are still in perfect condition.
A uniform bluish tint to the swept path is expected whent he seasoning process is concluded and then is worn away within the next couple of days of normal driving. Localized discolorization is undesirable though. Below are a couple of pics showing the condition of my rotors.
