Has anyone had any experience with Brembo Rotors. The price is certainly right. How do they make them so affordable? Are they a quality product? What does the finish look like? Does anyone have pictures of them on the car? Thanks in advance.
if you're looking at the ones on eBay, you should ask many questions...
Most are cross drilled / slotted ,but this was not done at BREMBO. I'd say you're worst case scenario is that you get a generic rotor in a brembo box...

We've bought Brembo brakes from sportbrakes.com for both Corvettes and are very happy with them! Mind you, we don't race these cars so I can't say how they'd handle that way, but for everyday type of driving, they can't be beat...especially for the $$!!!
i plan to throw on some cheapos for autoX, sell by Baer Eradispeed, and get some slotted sportbrakes for the street
i have heard great things about them, and they are only a couple hrs away
Here's a pic with my Brembo zinc plated sport rotors. Drilled and slotted with zinc colored hats.
Not the best detail shot of the rotors, but I hope this helps.
Like another forum member mentioned, I should have gotten larger rotors in the rear to fill up the space.
I'm sure the large Eradispeeds with the black hats would have looked better against my SSR's. [/QUOTE]
I would bet the brembo rotors we see here in the States are not made in Italia, but here in the US or Canada by raybestos and repackaged as Brembo. Under licencse of course.
Any one with Brembo rotors look closely at the rotor and see the stamping of country where it was made? or a series of numbers stamped on the hat of the rotor??

I just put a set on from Sportbrake and the box says Canada
when I bought my SportBrakes; I was told that they were made by the same mfgr as the Brembos. This doesn't necessarliy mean that they "are" Brembos... but are at least mfgrd by a quality company that also makes rotors for Brembo.
Here is a closeup of the rears. They are manufactured in Canada for Brembo. I still wish I went with the large Eradispeeds, but this was before the SSR's.
Hi Yellow Viking this is Bootjackvette. I got my wheels and tires put on yesterday and WOW! they look hot on my vert. I'll try to get some pics soon to show you. Thanks for the great deal on the wheels and tires. Everyone out there, Yellow Viking is a good man to deal with
