Default Non Run Flats

Driving along enjoying my Mich Pilot Sports A/S nrf, saw a gasser place at 2.18 a gal and thought at that price I better gas up. As I was gassing and looking at my tires, dam a screw is sticking out of the middle thread, sideways but buried. Drove home got my jack out, put it under the veh to get ready to unscrew the screw, which I did. Squirted soapy water on it, no bubbles. Question to those who no tires. Is the tire now trust worthy? How thick is the tire beneath the thread? Thanks.

I have pulled a lot of screws out of my tires that were only as deep as the tread. I figure they were ok, I never had any problems. I don't know about any that are longer than the tread depth. Good luck.

It will probably be OK. Check the tire pressure every week or more often for a while.

This afternoon, while washing mine, I noticed a roofing nail in my Michelin Pilot Sports ZPs. Pulled it out and got the dreaded "ssssssssssssss". Man, they've only got about 250 miles on them

Took off the wheel and hauled it over to Discount Tire -- repair is under warranty. Still, it ticks me off. Since the hurricanes came through FL, roofing repairs are going on all the time, every where. Bastich roofer are pretty careless with the nails.

]Mine has about that same mileage, I also found out if I had the flat my jack would not fit. I'll have to buy one of those as shown on this forum. I was just talking the other day, how often do you get a flat, above it all though I still love the Michlins nrf. Dolen

If you have no air leak, you should be fine.
