Guys, pardon the ignorance, though I know the occasional tire BBQ is fun and all, but without traction what good is it really? Understandable if you were only racing it at the track, but for a DD? C'mon!
I use 6th at 40 mph, can go down to 35 mph if just holding speed. I can't imagine gearing this thing any lower with the Z06 5th and 6th, but to each his own I guess. 1st pulling to damn near 50 mph is tall though.
My car is my semi-daily driver and I have traction problems in first and second on motor. It's to the point that I'm not even sure I want to put the bottle back in the car till Spring (I can hold 2nd in the summer on bottle, now I can't hold it on motor.)

Hey euh, let me know if you want to sell the nitrous system
Well i have the hardened output shaft, spec III clutch and the 4.10's installed. The car is awesome with those gears in it. It pulls great, and in my opinion it's not to much gear for the ZO6, i thought it was going to be worse then it is. I dont regret getting the 4.10's. For you guys that think it's too much gear, find someone with those gears in the ZO6 and go for a ride. You will change your mind. cant wait to get it to the ttrack now. I also have a h/c package with 475rwhp 430rwtq. they are the #'s before the gears were put in.:drive:

More power always creates traction issues no matter where that power comes from. I say, if you want to have breakneck acceleration or you dragrace, go for the gear. Cheaper than most engine mods and it won't affect your warranty. If you're roadracing, stick with the stock gear, otherwise, too much shifting on a roadcourse.
