Bought my used 2000 in January and already have 12k on it this year. If I hadn't have quit work about 2 months ago I would have over 13k. I even drive in the snow, which around here is about 3-4 times a year.
I drive my 99' coupe every chance I get. Who cares about miles? I figure once this one won't go anymore I will just buy another and enjoy it untill I need another one and so on.... You only live once enjoy life while you have it, you can't take it with you and if you don't drive it now when your gone someone else will
My 99 is my daily driver. It only has 25,000 miles on it but thats because the previous owner never drove it.
For those of you that just let your cars sit in the garage, what a waste!!! Obviously these cars are not good investments your never going to get what you paid for it. Drive the heck out of them, thats what they are made for. I cant get enough of mine.
It's my ONLY car, so if I'm driving, it's in the vette. Weather isn't much of a consideration here in SC since I've yet to hear of a CHEVY that has melted in the rain
I own a '99, but haven't driven it in over a year. Major modifications being done to it. I also own a 2004 C/E that I purchased in late January of this year, but didn't pick it up until Feb 09 (my birthday). Anyway that car won't be seeing over 2,000 miles this year. For me it's quite simple. I love my C5s and like to enjoy them to the fullest, but I just don't see the fun in driving them to work. For some reason I just feel it takes something away. I enjoy it best on the weekends when theres a nice cool breeze and grey clouds above. My advice.......go out and enjoy the car as much as possible. I know I would, but I also have a wonderful wife, two great daughters and not enough cool breezes and grey clouds.
I have put 25k on my 99 FRC in less than a year. My earlier three vettes were garage queens. This is the first time I have drove my car every day and I love it!!!!!!!!
Around 5,000 mpy here. It's a fun weekend car, gives me something to look forward to and I can do the mods at a leisurely pace....no pressure to finish in a Panic Sunday rush for a Manic Monday crush. Enjoyment in moderation is the secret to prolonged pleasure......w/o any viagra! Best,
I've only had mine a couple of months, but I'll probably drive about 10K per year. I take it to work on nice days, but if it gets wet, I don't panic ... just wash it up the on the next nice day. I like to take reasonable caution, and driving in the rain, on purpose, just increases the liklihood of some other driver hitting it. I'd rather they hit my truck.
I can't see paying a lot of money for something just to keep it in the garage, however. When this one wears out, I'll just get another one.

Next month I will have had my car for four years and now I have around 25K on the car. But, the first year I had it probably 60% of those miles went on it. I'd guess I drive around 3-4K per year right now. I had been keeping the miles down since I showed the car, but next year I will probably cut back on that. So, I should drive it more - got to get the enjoyment out of it.
I drive mine as a daily driver now. Turned in my daily driver (Acura TL lease) and have not replaced it. Even as a daily driver I only drive about 6-7K a year anyway. That said, I am still thinking about buying something to drive so I don't have to drive my vette everyday. I love driving it, but hate seeing it get dirty so fast and don't always have time to clean it. Plus I think I appreciated it more when I just drove it less often.
