Default 02 Valley Cover Fix
Just ordered a new valley cover from GMpartsdirect.com after having found oil both in front of the throttle plate and in the bridge. I've seen a post from last year on this fix and have searched for other posts that might help. I've also got the TSB, for what that is worth. Does anyone have the section of the service manual on this fix or is there a post that I've missed that would help?

Not sure.... but on my '01 they did this first before the re-ring and it cut the oil consumption in 1/2... then I had it re-ringed.

I really don't have the oil consumption problem, only the oil in places it ain't suppose to be.
