The bulb which was burnt out fell apart when I removed it. I have a new one and I can not figure out how to put it in. Is there something that clamps it in? I wouldn't thing you would need to be a PHD, but I need HELP!
The bulb has a metal loop on each end and just slides in place. The metal pieces attached to the hood give a little and hold the bulb in place mainly by tension.

Make sure that you unplug the light before reinstalling the bulb. If you do not unplug you will risk burning your fingers. The plug is located down near the passenger side headlight.
Replacing this bulb is a real pain and for some reason it is a real sensitive fit. Make sure you unplug the line to it...it is impossible to change if it is on.

A couple of questions. Do you insert the bulb with the outside edge of the loop (so only one side of the loop enters first) towards the hood or the flat part (so both sides of the loop enter at the same time) toward the hood? Do you put one end of the bulb in first then press toward the tension to slide the other end in place and release the pressure to hold the bulb in?
Update: I figured it out. It goes in flat so both sides go in together. I placed the bottom of the bulb on the lower tab and pressed down against the tension and pushed the top of the bulb in until it felt tight.

Reason: Update
In 2005 they came up with a bulb that does not need any fluid.
Actually late model 2004 where the first to offer the fluidless blinkers. They are probably the only 2004 collector edition cars, I think only 30 where ever made.
