power difference z03-z04
I know 04 has different shocks than 03-02, what about performance??...tks gary

Also accessory wire under passenger floor is missing on 04's.

Your right I forgot to mention that, I spent 2 hour looking for it when I hardwired my radar detector in. I guess some of the early 04's still have them.

They changed the shocks and the bushings too... The durometer of the rubber is different. Those just changing shocks will not get the results of the 04.

There is a different part # on the camshafts for 02/03. I was told that 03/04 camshaft is more aggressive?

My '04 makes about the same rwhp as most other Z06s dynoed by DRM. I haven't heard that there were any power upgrades.

I was told that the 04 headliner is thicker, say 3/4 inch
( for safety )

The PCM was also upgraded to the GMCAN system, this processes info faster than the starbus system...easier to tune.
