Just picked up my (new to me) 2003 coupe. It does not have the factory CD changer but would like to add one. I have heard both that the wiring connectors are there, and that they are not. Can anyone confirm if it is pre-wired for this?
Also, Is there an aftermarket unit that plugs into this or is the factory unit the only one?
The connector is on the head unit, and there is a cable available to install the changer. If you work with the retailer, you should be able to get one installed for less than the original option price of $600. For my '02 Z06, I got a local Delco retailer to install one for $400 and change.

Both wiring connectors are there, but they are under the passenger fire wall. You have to buy the wire harness (cd changer installation kit) that connects the CD changer to the 2 plugs up front. Very straight forward and easy to do. I added the factory changer to mine. Check out Fichtner.....they have them at a very good price.
