I posted this in the C4 General by mistake. Anyone know why I'm having a problem with CD's that we copy from our computer in the vette? We have the six CD changer in the back and the copies all have a fuzz noise to them in the vette. The same copied CD in our Dodge Ram and our Durango and home system sounds great. Any clues?
Try a different media I would guess your trucks are newer and accept
any media if your vette cd changer is older I would bet thats the problem. I had a 98 coupe before I got my 2001 zo6 in my 98 no media would work, in the 2001 all media seem to work.I would bet thats your problem
The only times I've had trouble burning music CDs is when using generic ones that didn't have a speed rating on the package. Then I had to slow down the burn speed.
I have not had trouble with CDs that are rated for a faster speed than my burner supports (even the 'free' ones after rebate). As such, my feeling is that 'music CDs' are a waste of money.
I have the 12 cd in the back....sometimes it does the same thing as yours...but apparently the cd in the dash doesn't....so i just put that cd in the dash cd player...
This issue is more common than you would think regarding CDRs in the changer (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=861171). My 12 disk just doesn't like my CDRs. I even had it replaced, and it has the same problem. My CDRs are perfect everywhere else, even in the head unit in my vette. Some have said it is temperature related, and I tend to agree since my player works better early in my driving before the car warms up. After it is warm, many are just terrible. I am probably going to wire in my MP3 player, but for now I take it as it is.
