I'm 602 miles from home and my diff is leaking. Got fluid dripping on the exhaust and gear oil all over the back of the car. No chevy dealer can fix it till tuesday and I need to leave for home by Sunday and have a track day at T-Hill on Saturday. Can anyone fix this in N.Cal? I'm in Redding.
Can't fix it but will commiserate! My buddy is in the local dealer bay right now with a cracked diff housing. We're waiting for the GMPP hero to come in on Friday to approve the repair. Then another week I'm sure for parts and installation.
Oh, this is about you...sorry...no leads for NorCal - I recall there's a Sacramento Corvette shop - might even be a sponsor, but getting in on Friday...I wish you well!

Sorry to hear this. I can feel for you though - I was in Bowling Green at a Vette event last year and noticed the same thing on my car - fluid on the rear exhaust pipes. Luckily I was able to drive it back the 450 miles to home with no damage. Best of luck finding a place that can fix it sooner than the Chevy dealer.
I got an appointment for Friday 10:00 am with a chevy dealer. The catch is they can't get parts till tuesday, so if they don't have parts in stock to fix it I'm hosed. At least now there is a slim chance that it can be fixed instead of having no hope at all.
JDs00PewterCoupe, your story gives me inspiration in that maybe I can make it home with the current problem. I'll just have the dealer top off the fluid if they can't fix it.
