It has to do with the resistor pellet in your key. Keep an eye out for it, hopefully it was a glitch, but it can leave you stranded. It happened to my Monte Carlo, which resulted in a new ignition switch and key.

Tried the contact cleaner with no success. But I found that if I remove all my other keys from the ring and just have the corvette key and FOB together, the Security Light doesn't come on. So it may be something to do with the keys swinging as I drive.
