Default DIC question

my car is often stood for 4 or 5 days during the week, the last two times ive got in after this the DIC has moved to different settings than i usually have.
it goes to the same 'base' settings each time, also changes the page on my HUD.
i wondered if the battery is on its way out although radio and other memory functions seem ok.
battery volts when driving are 13.8/9
what do you think?
mike.

Sounds like a battery issue.

Mine did the same thing. DIC and HUD settings different than I left them. New battery solved the problem.

Do you have teenagers in the home??? Maybe they are taking the car out after Dad goes to bed.

This is where I would start as well, sounds like a slow drain on the battery to me. Mine cranked OK and no problems, then overnight I had weird DIC issues, then within a day or two no crank power at all. Replaced battery, and all has been good since.

Battery is going low at initial start up and the memory module takes a hit and resets. Check the codes and see if you have any LOSS OF COMMUNICATION" codes. Sure sign of a bad battery!

S/B more like 14.3. I agree with the weak battery theory
