Friendly Chevy in Dallas question
It seems they do their fair share of Corvette work. Anyone care to share their experience with Friendly?

I jokingly asked once when my *hoe* was in the shop, if I could take a C5 as a loner. The service tech laughed. When I asked "Is Roy around?", his jaw about dropped when I said, Hey, Roy let me use one off the used car lot last time. I ended up in a rented Ford Expedition.
Anyway, when my vette needs work, I'll go to Friendly even though Huffines is closer, and comes highly recommended.

They have a Free Tires for Life program, get all you service done there (on new cars purchased from them) and they will keep you supplied in tires for free as long as you own the car. But they in Dallas and I am in Austin, just a bit too far to go for oil changes.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
- The salesperson was exceptionally nice.
- The finance girl was the worst I ever had and tried to nail me with payments that did not include the negotiated price (MSRP - Rebate only). I do homework and knew what the payments should be so I caught her error (after some discussion)
- The finance department wrote my loan with the wrong credit union (I was pre-qualified through mine already and they initiated with the wrong one). I didn't now until I recieved the payment booklet
- The salesperson told me about the free tires for life program. I questioned whether that applied to the corvette and he said "Yep, as long as you come in and have them rotated every 6000 miles". After my questioning again, he stuck to that answer.
I went there because they had one of the few MN6 2004s around when I bought, and they gave a great deal money wise. I'm no stranger to buying cars, and so I'm always prepared for the 'mistakes' that finance people always seem to make. So, in general from a buy cheap and walk away experience it was great.
Would I go back? Only if the same great price presented itself and only after looking elsewhere.
