I have heard a lot of great things about people using amsoil, but when I went on to their web site they had a hundred different oils with different weights. I have a supercharged car, so the racing 20W 50 makes sense to me, but maybe thats to heavy. What do you guys think.
I e-mailed Subdriver (Amsoil vendor and T1 racer) with the same question.
He uses series 2000 20w50 in races in the summer. During the runoffs, he was going to use series 2000 0w30 because the weather was going to be a lot cooler.
this is what Amsoil officially recomends for the C5:
Oil Filter......SDF32
SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil
Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid
Series 2000 75w90 Synthetic Gear Lube
Since I'm taking the winter off and not going to the track, I'm sticking with Mobil 1 5W-30, but as of right now, i'm thinking that I might use Amsoil 0W-30 as a compromise between street and track use next summer.
