The Vette is gone to sleep for the winter. Disconnected the battery, put stabel (i think that's how it's spelled) in it and dropped it off at my brother in laws place. I missed the snow (aprox 6 inches) by a day by leaving on tuesday. Hopefully winter will pass fast but in Michigan that's a long shot.
I really don't know how you Northern guys do it. I've lived in Florida all my life and don't plan on leaving. It has been about 75 in the day and 60 at night. It does get hot here in the summer and rains a lot, but I can live with that. Not trying to rub it in, I did see a picture of snow once,
I never put my car totally down in winter. On nice dry days I drive it around the subdivision so the tires dont flatten out. I start it every 2 weeks or so.

I put my car away for extended periods during the winter, but on those nice days, I do get it out. Of course, I have a feeling you guys in Michigan get a much worse winter than we do.

winter sucks thats for sure ! living in chicago it will get cold with some snow and rain. reason enough to put the car away for the winter. two good thinks well maybe, less mileage on the car and it's like getting a new car every spring ! thats what i tell my self anyway
I too live in west Michigan, just 40 miles or so north of GR. I had the vette out today, nice and sunny. I plan on driving some even during the winter, just need the roads to be clean and dry. That means I'll get to drive it about 1 day per month between now and April By the way, where is a good place to have the vette worked on when needed? I just bought it in Oct.
I just got back from Denver today after spending 5 days out there. I left snow, cold, ice (spent 1.5 hours in the deicing line at DIA) and just general slop. Why???? I can't imagine having to store my vettes for the winter. They're too much fun to drive.....

I feel your pain, Ontario must be in the same weather zone as MI. Sucks doesn't it.
Put mine away last week before Thanksgiving, put stabil in as well. Hooked up the battery tender, put a cover on it and I'll see it in March. It really sucks!!
That would drive me crazy. It's like going to a bar and not being able to have a cold one. The only thing we have to worry about is all those darn birds flyiing south for the winter.
Mine too Chicago area here. Bad weather is right around the corner. We already had a 4 inch slush storm last Wednesday.
Gave her a good washing yesterday, filled her up with BP Ultimate, put the plywood sheets under the tires, connected the automatic 2 amp trickle charger and covered her up.
I'll still take her out during the winter if the roads are dry and salt free.
yeap this sucks..mine's only been put away a week and I already miss driving it. I will take er out too on occasion when it's dry and salt free. The LS1 loves the cold air.
Mine has been sleeping for 3 weeks now. Aired up the tires, fresh Mobil1, stabil in the tank, hooked up battery tender, a little desicant on the center console and put the cover on. I'm thinking about suspending insurance and tags on her jsut so I'm not tempted to drive her when I shouldn't.
