What is this?
I noticed that the molding inside my hatch, just above the rear drivers wheel well is falling. So I was pulling off the failed tape and notice this little black box pack behind the plastic. it's not large, and has two foam "Stoppers" at either end, and a few wires running into it.
what caught me was it had an FCC registration number, which means it's either sending or reciving something. Tire pressure monitor perhaps Reciever?
I can't find anything about it... the GM P/N is: 10422621
put the number in a search and get:
GM PART # 10422621
CATEGORY: All
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $300.96
OUR PRICE: $171.55
DESCRIPTION: REC-DR/LK

It's the receiver for both your keyfobs and the tire pressure sensors.

That's it. This is the piece that they had to replace in my '99 when my key fobs would not work right.
