PS...mine should be here tomorrow....I'll post some pics of how plain it looks next week...
Not sure what you are getting at asking if my car has Z06 wheels on it and why that would confuse you, but YES they are and they've been on that car for 36 months now. So what's your point?

All I was doing here was answering a post that asked: "Well...what are the opinions? (Not my car)" ...... and I gave it.

And to quote you in another reply here "besides, I only hafta please ME...!!! " Well that goes for me too.

That was my opinion.

ALSO I was answering a post that was post by a friend (Todd USAmry) and I know what wheels he'd be replacing these with so that was another reason for my even bothering with this post and my suggestion.

It had nothing to do with your FRC.

Your FRC would look better in my opinion with those C6 wheels.

I like the C6 wheels if for no other reason the 18" & 19" sizes.

For a lack of better words, they just don't jump out as anything special, they just look stock.
Spend the money on headers if you don't already have them.
As your quote says, "they just look stock", well apparently stock looking wheels works for you, but Z06 wheels are much more common. So why not go for something "stock" but different????

THEY LOOK VERY MUCH LIKE STOCK C5 WHEELS
You just are not getting the picture.

First off, my comments were to Todd (USARMYTTT), I know what he has.
The wheels I have were NOT stock 36 months ago when I put them on my car. I just do not buy wheels every year on a car that gets only 3 or 4k miles per year so these are IT for my car. I'm done with buying wheels. You are complaining for some reason about my opinion on something.
Look up the word opinion. Are tou trying to change my opinion? YOu will NOT ever do it.

Todd happens to have replaced the stock 5 spoke wheels off his TR coupe a while back and I don't think these C5 wheels are much of a change from what he already has had on his car once already.

UNDERSTAND YET?
If you do or do not, let's just stop here.

I said they'd look good on your car and I think they would.
I don't think they'd be a good look for Todd's car.
That's all there is and was to this.
Now calm down and show us some pictures of your FRC with your new wheels like you promised.

Glenn, Glenn, Glenn,......I think somebody needs his nap.... Now you apparently have the ability to read, but lack the ability to comprehend and interpret.

First, let me quote "my comments were to my friend USARMYTTT". Well if you read his post (sorry for bringing you into this Todd) all he asked for was pictures. I believe he wanted to see them so he could make up HIS OWN mind.

Second, while your opinion means not a thing to me, your response could be taken as offensive to all the C6 wheel owners out here. A simple "I dont like them Todd" would have gotten your point across just as well. (or more likely, Im jealous of your car already Todd, please dont make it any better).

Third, I was not ever, nor am I now, complaining, trying to change your opinion, or upset (so I dont need to calm down)...

Now just what do you mean when you say your wheels were not stock 36 months ago? Are they stock now? Well the C6 wheels are not stock to me now....maybe in 36 months they will be?

Finally, and please now...let it go....I know these wheels will look good on my FRC, and Im sure they will look good on Todds Vette.....But that is up to him my friend........

They look good on the C5. But if I was going to invest in wheels, I'd still go with CCW or Ronal.

[QUOTE=RedC5]Well...what are the opinions? (Not my car)

I like the C6 wheels although they do look very similar to the C5 thinspokes. I am not a big fan of 19" wheels because of the limited tire sizes but the syle is nice. The spokes seem to have a sharper line than the C5 thin spokes. Not really sure which wheel I like best. Pesonally I had OEM polished thin spokes and liked the stock look so I upgraded or downgraded depending on your opinion to aftermarket chrome thin spokes 18s all around and an inch wider all around. I believe if I had a C5 97-99 with wagon wheels the C6 wheel would definately be an option for an upgrade, but keep in mind there will be a limited tire choice for the 19 inch wheel, (do aftermarket C6 wheels come in 18 x 10.5 or 11)

I have been looking through all the posts concerning C6 wheels on a C5. All of a sudden one thing jumps out at you. Of all the people that have them no one has posted a picture. The only picture posted is that same old tired picture of the car at Corvettes of Houston. All you people that have C6 wheels if you are so PROUD of them, show us some pictures! Just my .02.
