Default C6 wheels on a C5

Does anyone have any pictures of the C6 wheels on a TR C5? Any color will do though. Thanks

Go to this site and get into parts/wheels for the the C5 years. They have a picture of a C5 with C6 wheels. Looks very nice, too.

Those wheels look very nice on the car. Are they factory wheels or reproductions? Just curious because I had heard that you may need to use a spacer if you want the factory wheels. Anyone know if that is true?

What is the reliability of reproduction wheels, and how can you tell?

My opinion is that would be money much better spent somewhere else.

If I saw that car casually I would just think it's a C5 with the stock C5 high polished wheels. I'd have to have those wheels pointed out to me or they'd slip right by un-noticed as anything different.

For a lack of better words, they just don't jump out as anything special, they just look stock.
Spend the money on headers if you don't already have them.

What you say is possibly true as a corvette owner and knowing the type of wheels that are stock. But to the average joe blow on the street, all he knows is that black car with the fancy chrome wheels looks bad azz....!!! And the average person dosnt know if you paid $800 or $8,000 for them.....Like everyone says....if you like it go for it... (It's hard to tell in your sig. pic, but are those aftermarket Z06 wheels... )

PS...mine should be here tomorrow....I'll post some pics of how plain it looks next week...

More stock-looking than I thought they'd look and so I won't be going down that route which was something I was considering. I guess I've been spoilt by some of the very cool wheels you see on this forum.

Daniel, I think I prefer the stock rims on your black FRC.

I was gonna go for a set of ROH wheels, but for the $2,000 price tag, I figured since Im one of the only C5s around my area...WHY? I just wanted to add a splash of chrome (bling). The powdercoated wheels just dont look good to me. And everybody is running the stock chrome C5 and Zo6 wheels. The C6 wheel is different (from stock C5 & Zo6) and reasonably priced. Wait till I post some pics and see what you think..... (besides, I only hafta please ME...!!! )

You may be right. Perhaps that pic doesn't do them justice. Never trust a photo.

I was just looking at a silver coupe today at the dealership, with lambo doors and C6 wheels. There is something different about the C6 wheels that seems odd. Are the offsets the same as a C5? They just appear smaller or more inboard if you see them from all angles.

Did you know that the Euro-C5's wheels sat 1/2" further into the wheelwell? It may be they decided to make them all Euro-spec this time.
