It was a beautiful day in RI today, so I took my car out of hibernation and took her for a ride. My dash lit up back R flat tire . Zero pressure. I checked the pressure and it said 29 pounds of pressure. Maybe a bad sensor? Or is it because she hasn't run for a month? Any advice?
I have had this before but the sensor reset after 15 - 20 miles and read properly.
If yours did not reset you can try to manually rest it, if that does not work the battery in the sensor probably has died and you need to replace or have them repaired.
Last night my wife and I attended our Corvette club Christmas party at a restaurant in the next county about 40 miles away. When we left the restaurant my DIC said left front tire pressure low. I've only had my '02 for four months and this was the first time I have had this happen. I stopped at the nearest gas station to add air but the tire did not appear to be low at all. After putting 50 cents in the air machine it wouldn't work. I then left the gas station in search of another and before finding one the DIC started showing 26 psi for that tire. After driving a few more miles it came up another # or so. This morning I topped off all the tires to 30 psi before I left the house.
When does the DIC warn you? When a tire gets down to 25 psi?
I really felt a whole lot better when I knew that I did have the 26 psi pressure in the tire.

24 - 25 puonds is about where you'll usually get the low tire pressure warning

think of me next time you go down to Jamestown - the Beavertail lighthouse is one of my favorite places in the world!
Your batteries (in the sensors) are maybe getting a little old, as the tire warms them up they start working again - I have the same problem with one of my sets of wheels. When I replace those tires I will put a rebuilt set of sensors in at the same time and the problem will be resolved.

Could be a bad sensor, but try driving it a bit more and see if it begins to read the pressure. You can also try to retrain the sensors again and see if that helps. Hopefully you do not need another sensor.
i've been having problems with my tire sensors too... just since it started getting cold though.... and once the tires warm up a little it goes up a few #'s and reads ok....
Just a reminder boys and girls, as the temps get lower so will the tire pressure - it's time to swap the summer air for winter air. Add some of that nice fresh winter air to them - get 'em back up to 30psi cold and you should be set. And for those of you who had your christmas shopping done months ago, remember to reverse the proceedure next spring (let some winter air back out) or you'll get over pressure warnings as the temps warm up.
