I saw that issue and it read to be an info-mercial on the C6.

but I wish we didnt have to" learn to accept its looks"
The good news is that you don't have to. There are plenty of people that are seriously dissaponted with Dave Hill over the C6 exterior styling. And those of them like like me aren't afraid to say "the Emperor has no clothes".

But we also know to continue the brotherhood with fellow Corvette enthusiasts that have purchased a C6.

To be honest, I didn't like the looks of the C5 when it first came out. But, it grew on me and now I have had two of them and liked each one. The C6 carries on the Vette heritage. I like the car and hope someday to have one in my garage. But until then, the C5 fills the bill just fine.

Those C6 side 'scoops' look exactly like they came from a mustang. Even the new Mustang got rid of that scoop!

Back end is clumsy short. Front half looks too much like Lotus Elise, which sucks--this from a gal who has owned 5 Lotus cars but will NEVER disgrace my driveway with an Elise.
Interior is underwhelming, looks like it is less expensive to manufacture than C5. HID projectors ar better than crap sealed beams or 6000 series bulbed plactic lens on the C5, but still suffer from poor beam control and actual light placement.

I'm ordering the Eurospec lamps for my C5 this week, and will install 130/90 watt H4 bulbs and relays that produce MORE LUMENS than HID bulbs, and will place that light in the best possible location. There is no yet a way to replace the C6 HIDS with superior Eurospec lamps, so I guess it would have to be a totally custom job to dump them.

I got my subscription when I purchased my C5, it started about 3 months after purchase. Really like the magazine, they do a very nice job covering all the new features, etc. Very cool and upbeat.
CQ is available from ChevyMall click here.

I had a choice to get a 04 or 05, I like the look of the C5 and I got the best of the last. Why get the 1st C6, I will wait 7 or 8 years, there will lots of changes, I know 1 already, 5speed auto. in the 3rd year. In time the C6 will grow on me, I know this now, the C5 will be a classic in time.

I finally sat in one for the first time last week. I agree with one of the above posts for sure, the C5 headlights are like candles blowing in the wind out front. It would seem the C6 has addressed that issue. I rarely drive the car at night (bugs/Deer) but as much as I still like the "popups", the new vette will light the road LOTS better. Anyway, I liked the car but not enough to part with my 03 MSG. Maybe a ZO6 in my future ?
