Default Corvette Quarterly

I just got my new Corvette Quarterly and its all I could do to read the !@#$ book. All they could talk about was how great the C6 is. I do not like the car and never will. Its a cheapen up C5 with a little more HP...the ends have been cut off, they used a cheap insert or a headlight..and the car looks too much like a Viper.

Just had to rant a little.

Got to remember its a GM publication with an intent on selling Corvettes. If you want to read about all the other great Corvettes, you will find it in other less promotional publications. I look forward to each and every issue of Corvette Quaterly for what it is. My issue must be late!

Have gotten the Quarterly for years, and it's FREE. Therefore I like it. The Corvette must continue and live on. I also get Corvette Enthusiast and Vette Mags. I was not crazy about the C4, yet I later owned 2. I love all Corvette's - each and everyone God Bless'em

I drove a C6 last night for the first time. Those "cheap" headlights were the first thing I noticed. They are awesome and make mine seem like battery powered flashlights taped to the hood. The ride with the new runflats was smooth and quiet, the body and handling was very tight and as solid as any I've driven from Germany or Japan. As for the rest of the car, you can deny it all you want but it will eventually grow on you.

I am not in awe of the C6 like alot of people here, but will no doubt own one someday. Us C5 owners have to realize the C6 is now the "Big Dog" at Chevrolet. Now we know how the C4 owners have felt for the last seven years. Does it mean I love my C5 any less? No way! What I'm looking forward to is some cheaper mods!

They wouldn't be much of a Corvette magazine if they didn't do all they could to cover the new generation Corvette. I, for one, enjoyed the C6 articles.

I DON"T like that toothess grin! I'm confident one of the after
marketers will come out with something that will disguise it in some fashion
as to placate those of use who abhor it so. But the rest of the car is
growing on me! I'm planning on an 07 or 08 Z06 in my future!

Geez man, take a calm down! The C6 is not a FORD or anything! It's a Corvette for pete's sake! Don't get me wrong - I love my C5 and will never part with it, but don't ya think it's a done deal and nothing you or any other irate disgruntled C5 owner is gonna say or do is going to bring the C5 back!

Time marches on.....and so will designs and model years!

I am buying new tires soon and would like to know if the C6 runflats are any different than what I have on my 01. Any Ideas?

And that short article with Dale Jr's opinion on the new car in Corvette Quarterly was cool. Along with the hot Late Model driver Leilani something.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion as far as I'm concerned. But, me thinks there may be a lock in your future. See locked thread below:

Is it me or does the new C6 not really inspire....

C6 is awesome, especially in the silver vert. Truthfully though, I thought the CE Z06 loked better on every angle in the comparison article except the 45 degree front shot. C6 looks worst from the side view, tail got cut off a little too much.

Oh, and another thing, I like Dale Jr. but there's no way he wrote that article!

Rob I agree the c6 is much improved and a great value.
It is a world class performance car, but I wish we didnt have to" learn to accept its looks" but a case of love a first site.
Do you remember when the c3 was introduced, everyone went nuts over the shark body .
I personally hope the rear bumper goes out just like the precision red.
