The drivers side power seat never fails to run to the rear when shutting down, but more often than not, forgets to come forward automatically when the key is put into the ign sw. Seems as if there is no pattern to it, it just works when it wants too.
Anyone else having this happen as well? Hope it's not a not so subtle hint of whats to come some day with this cars electronics.
It happens to many people here. I have a MN6 and it seems no matter what combination of entry I use the seat sometimes remembers and other times does not. I think once I got to the point where I it worked for so long that I thought I entered and exited the car correctly, but then one magical day it started again....

I have a possible explaination for why it doesn't return to your normal driving position. If your car is unlocked and you don't press the FOB before insertin the key into the ignition, the computer doesn't know which memory setting to use. If you press the FOB before entering the seat should move. As for the Easy Entry not moving the seat all the way back i have no clue on that one.
Maybe you already tried this but it will only work if you use your fob to unlock the doors. Just hit your unlock button on your fob and when you put in the key the memory should work.

I tried all of the tips and trick I could find on this forum, and it still does what it wants when it wants. Eventually, I just disabled Easy Entry on the DIC (though I think it's reall if it everr worked properly)
