I would like to see Dale Jr. turning the wheel of a C6-R at more races. That wreck he had a few months ago was most unfortunate, cause he sure ran good in the 24 Hours of Daytona. I saw the C5-R guys racing at Road Atlanta in September and they are all top notch.

There is a pcture of the C6R in the C6-Z06 section. They have a lot of catching up to do to be in the winners circle as much as the C5R was. That was a great racecar!

Here's the pic...

My bet will be the C6R will be an awesome machine both in power and handling.

The main competition will probably be the Astin Martin, then Saleen if they come back.

Going to be hard to beat the success the C5R had at the track, especially with a new car. But I'm looking forward to seeing how the C6R performs. Best of luck to the team.

Well not quite. The C6R is an evolution of the C5R, not a whole new car. Also there will be a priveteer team running 2 C5Rs ( Old factroy C5Rs ) in the ALMS this year.

GTS will be called GT1 for 2005 and on.

The C6R pic is the carbon fiber body pannels not yet paint with the new Speed Yellow.

Aston Martin will have two cars at Sebring then off to europe for to prepar for LeMans.

The new Aston Martin DBR9 devoped and managed by Prodrive working on the car ahead of its racing debut next season.

Prodrive was the team that ran the Ferrari's that challanged the Corvettes two years ago.

So we all want to see the Corvettes win but it is nice to see it done with competition.

Aston Martin Racing
Aston Martin Racing is a partnership between Aston Martin and Prodrive that will see the British marque return to international motor racing in 2005 with the DBR9.

The car’s race debut is scheduled for the 12 hours of Sebring, Florida, in March, where two cars will compete before moving back across to Europe to prepare for the Le Mans 24 hours in June.

The DBR9 GT racing car is based on the latest Aston Martin production sports car – the DB9 – but is significantly modified for competition use. The DB9’s bonded-aluminium body architecture is shared with the DBRR9 and provides both with a lightweight rigid chassis. The race engine uses the same aluminium cylinder block and head as the DB9’s 450 bhp 6-litre V12 unit, but with racing modification it is expected to produce in the region of 600bhp.

Aston Martin Racing will build 12 Works cars, which will be run by three Works teams in the major international GT series. A limited run of only 20 racing cars, prepared to the specification, will also be built and made available to selected customers to race or keep in private collections.

I have seen two different sources stating that there will be a team. I dont know who will do it but I have been looking for the team

If Had to guess it would be some one who has OTHER teams on other searies like cart, indy and nascar. Not really a start up opperation.

If I or some one else finds out PLZ POST :
