It will smooth out the exhaust flow and perhaps make your exhaust sound a bit better. For me, since I have aftermarket cat backs, it decreased the popping when I let off the gas and eliminated much of the resonance in the car.

I have an X-Pipe with my full Z06 exhaust system. With the H-pipe replaced by the X, there is no deceleration popping and the exhaust note is a little deeper and smoother. I also have a Blackwing with a hi-flow air bridge and 3:42's and dyno'd 324rwhp. I am sure the X-pipe helped.
