[Z06] 4th gear grinding continues HELP!

4th gear grinding continues HELP!
Hi,
I have the kirban short shifter and I continue to get grinding in 4th gear. I thought it was just a result of my bad driving habits, but I finally realizes that it only grinds when you apply a SEMI quick shift into 4th when the car is COLD. After the car warms up (temp gauge at about 10 oclock)the grinding goes away. Does this make any sense why it does this?? I dont think it is my short shifter causing it. I'm having my 02 z06 brought to the dealer on dec 9th. And I just wanted some input from you guys before i go ahead and bring it in. If syncro alignment is off, is that a big job? They said it's still under warranty but am always worried having a big job done on my cars.

first: popping out of reverse
second: grinding into 4th
third: getting stuck in 4th sometimes
finally: got permanantly stuck in 4th on 1hr trip home
took to the dealer after popping out of reverse and when they saw my bpp short throw shifter they told me that was it before they even looked at it (it did the same thing before i installed the shifter).
i left in the short shifter and everything else happened, changed the shifter, took to dealership, they had to replace 2nd gear, 4th gear, and reverse. told me they would not do again since i have lt headers and 3,73 rear end and that they shouldnt have fixed it this time.
dealers around here are pretty much all idiots that once they make the $52k sale, they wouldnt pi$$ on you if you were on fire.
just what happened to me.

I brought the z06 in to the dealer today and they will check it thursday morning when the car is cold. I dont know why it only does it then. Hopefully they can find the problem and fix it and get it over with..
