I am considering a used C5 what years should I be looking at, is there a FAQ of known issues or upgrades per year?

Thanks,

Bud Gordon

Personally I would get as new as possible depending how much you are willing to spend.

Try these two website they can give you a lot of info, especially Corvette Action Center

Idaho Corvette Page

Corvette Action Center

Bugs keep getting worked out each year, so the later model the better. In fact, take a look at a new '04. Huge discounts and 0% financing can bring them into a lot more budgets then you would think. In fact, that is what I did. I pick up an '04 CE Conv about a month ago.

Starting getting better options in 99 on up, nothing wrong with earlier years either though!

For the best guide to issues and upgrades/improvements done to each model year Corvette, check out Corvette Black Book 1953-2004 by Mike Antonick.
