Need a new job, so I can drive my car!
I just need to rant to somebody who will appreciate my situation!! To make a looonnng story kinda short... Had a C4 with low miles, didn't drive it much to preserve mileage, got tired of not being able to drive it, sold it for a C5 that I intended to DRIVE! At my work, we have assigned parking (hard to get too), had a battle with the security guard because I REFUSED to put their parking sticker on my car. ( I mean it's a torch red vette, not like they have 50 of them driving through the gate. They should recognize me and know it's ok!) Went several rounds with them and they finally conceded to give me a hanging badge - not that I like that much better, but... Then yesterday, I get to work and the parking space beside me that had been empty for several days has a car in it... a 1970 something rusted, wrecked, falling apart and totally repulsive looking Chevy Nova!!! NO WAY in the world am I parking my baby beside that POS!!!!(Not to mention that I see the guy, all 350 lbs of him, fling open the door and struggle to get out!! My only other option is to park across the street, in an unguarded, gravel/mud pit! Now my C5 won't get driven much more than the C4. AAARRRGGGGHHHH sorry, but thanks for listening!

You might consider a different approach here. When you go back to work
next week, be nice to the security guys. Then Thur or Fri take them some
donuts or some tasty pastry. Converse with them about sports, or
whatever! Then bring up you would like to get a different parking place
when one becomes available. If they'll laugh or look at you like your crazy,
don't worry about it. It might take a while but just keep at it, but be nice
about it. Also thank them for fixing you up with the hanging badge!
Theres an old adage that covers a situation like this, but I can't remember
it. But you'll win more friends and favors treating people to honey than to
vinegar.

Why not just have a talk with the guy in the nova. Let him know how you feel about you Vette.
Just because it’s a pos does not mean the driver is. Let him know in a nice way if he chips your paint he will pay..Who knows he may turn out be someone who understands. If not go to plan B I also think what ericwf1 is right on track...

I agree - try to befriend the security guards and see if they can set you up with a better parking spot. Otherwise, I sure would not be bringing the Vette to work.

Another idea....say hello to the 350 pounder; ask him for a favor, like how about swapping spaces so MrNova can open his door against some other dude....
