I have a set of winter tires, is it ppossible to put the 17" in the rear and the 18" in the front, will the diameter diff cause any trouble, will there be trouble with 275's in the front.

If will look sooooooo goof. Hey here an Idea since you are from Quebec maybe you can borrow the Zamboni from the Bell centre and drive that around. Now that would be cool
to answer your question, yes a 17" wheel will fit on the back, plenty of guys use 17s. the only problem comes with the AH. The overall diameter of the rear tire should be a little (0" - 1") larger than the front of the AH might not like it very much, but you can turn it off and you will be stuck with a 245 tire on the back to put the power to the ground. The 275s will fit just fine on the front.
as far as looks go,
so, yes it can be done, but just because you can do something doesn't mean you should
you do know what oversteer is don't you

Can be done, but not recommended. Would not want to impact the workings of the AH and TC. Better to just get some better rear tires for winter driving.
some guys run 315s all around at the track with DRM brake ducts. I'm told they only rub a little bit at full turn. plenty of people run 275 on a 9.5" rim up front with something like 315s in the back

I am one of those plenty people, as I have 275's up front but they are 35's not 40's since they are too tall for a 295 35 rear.
