... when i lower the front end of my z51 will i bottom out?

If you lower it on the stock bolts you should be fine... You definately have to take your time going up some speed bumps, driveways, etc.. But all in all, its not too bad. I have on occasion, mildly scraped my long tubes, but they still dont have any dents, etc..

cool. Cuz i was looking around for directions and the search function sent me something about the z51 bottoming out. and I was like huh, i've never heard this before.

Anyways. time to go drop it.
