CF, Please say an extra prayer for my Dad. I will try to keep this brief but it will be hard. Back in 1995, he was bitten by a tick and almost died. The Drs. were a major pain in the *** and refused to look into what my Dad had as being tick related until one Dr., that beautiful Dr., heard us and then another one followed suit. My Dad at that point was in a coma that they actually induced to calm him down and was in Multi organ shutdown. They finally diagnosed, Human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE), a tick related disease. Anyway through the high spectrum of meds. they were giving him, his kidneys failed and he was forced to go on Dialysis. Two years later, my Dad had a transplant due to my older sister, who insisted she was the oldest and it was her choice to step up to the plate over my twin and me--- 
bless her forever!
Anyway, my Father has done beautifully up until this last year with lots of swelling around the ankles and hands. They are telling us it is Protein loss and ultimately if they do not come up with the right combination of drugs will go into renal failure.

I do not think I have a better group of friends than on this Forum...Thank you so much!
As it turns out, my Dad meets with the Dr. next Wed. to discuss changes in his meds...I am praying hard and with all the support system here along with my family, I am very positive.
