Default Warm-up?

How long do you let your car warm-up before you drive?

I turn the key to on and let the guages peg and go back down, then start the car and let the oil pressure get to operating pressure, put it in gear and go!

I'll do the above but I'll also drive very moderatly the first few miles until my oil temp is at least 145 degrees. By then, all the other fluids are at proper operatinig temperatures as well and going wide open will not hurt anything.

A Vette is like a woman. Needs to be warmed up to perform well.

After starting, I drive it fairly easy until the engine has warmed sufficiently.

I let the temp hit 100 before moving, just a habit for me.

Probably 15-20 seconds, just enough to get the oil pressure up. After that, I take it easy until it gets up to temp.

It takes your car that long to build oil pressure????

By the time you depress the clutch and snick it into first it should be ready to rock.

There has got to be a mod to fix this problem.

2-3 mins. With the h/c setup I feel it is critical to make sure the fluids are moving well and things are quite warm. I also drive conservatively until the tranny temp gets above 120-130.
