Default strange problem???

Have any of you noticed this possible problem;upon first unlocking your car, then entering your car, stick key in ignition, close door, seat is suppose to move to its memory position, but only moves halfway ,
then when you do it again,it goes to its proper memory position
I don't know what to make of this.P.S.during the course of the day,in and out,it works properly it only does this when I initally enter the car.

yes, we have seen this also - I try to be careful that when I put the key in, I do it in one clean motion and that it is firmly installed. That usually makes it work fine...

You will also notice that sometimes the easy entry option doesn't work. That is, the seats don't move back when you take the key out. It also seems to be related to the timing between shutting off the ignition and removing the key.

YES - Same here
Has happened about twice. However since I've been careful about the key insertion - no more problems

Mine has done this before - but only on occasion. Just one of the things I live with.

Mine reacts a little different. Sometimes I'll move the seat back before
I get out and when I hit the unlock button the seat moves to memory
position before I get in. Have i programmed wrong?

After experimenting around, I found (at least in my case).. a way to make it work everytime.

Get in your car...Close the Door FIRST, then stick the key in the ignition. While your seat is adjusting, get clipped in with seat belt. By the time thats all done, your seat, mirrors, temp and radio are all set, ready to turn the key.

Might try that sequence, as it frustrated the hell out of me, until standarding the same procedure every time.

Works for me.

Oh, on the reverse side, when you shut the engine off, pull the key out, BEFORE you open the door, then the seat will retract fully for easy exit.

Might try that too.

I had the same problem and I took it back to the dealer. They replaced the seat mechanism. Haven't had any trouble since.

I was worried about all the travel the seat, telescoping steering and whatnot moving each time I get in and out. Instead of auto seat on/off
I program (2) to be my primary seating and (1) just ever so diffeant, basically enough to get legs out so that the overall travel of seat is just forward a bit and back a bit not changing every seat option. Hoping for less wear and tear. OH so the reason for this is when you unlock the car remotly the seat moves to (1) and you have enough room to get in and then (2) as you buckle in. Probably but......
