They are good looking. Maybe for my desk or tool box. Not my car. If I drove a Z06, I'd already have the Z06 badge on it. If it's a C5 and not a Z06, it's an LS1 and most who know what an LS1 is know that without a badge. So... IMO, badge=rice unless it's a repo. Exceptions would be big engine cars, TTs etc.
9 times out of 10, if you have to ask if it is rice......it probably is.
However, nothing rice about a LS-1 w/ a blower......I think that badge is pretty cool actually.....the fact that it is so similar to the Z06 badge is a
I have seen some cool LS1 badges, Ccajun4real has one on his vette and i think it looks sweet....

When these badges first came out, I saw a lot of them on cars that year up at the Mid-America Fun Fest. They look good, but I just can't see spending $200 for two badges. If they were more reasonably priced, then I would put them on the side of my car.

Both badges have the S/C moniker on them. So I see no reason why it wouldn't be fine to put the repective badges on your coupe/vert/FRC or Z06 provided you have a SuperCharged engine.
OTOH, if you were to stick the LS1 S/C badge on a vette with a stock LS1 then that would be rice IMO.

I'd never put aftermarket badges like that on my Vette.
I've always wondered about the thinking that went into designing that aftermarket badge. Wouldn't the more logical design have been to make a "Z51" badge (i.e. Z51 performance package) similar to the Z06 badge, especially since all non-Z06 C5s have the LS1 anyway.
I saw a MagnaCharged 98 coupe today at 21st Century MuscleCars. It had the LS1 Supercharged emblem on it. At first I thought he was a poser, as he also had Z06 brake ducts, but when the mechanic popped the MCM hood, and I saw the maggie, I decided it looked .
BTW - There are way too many vettes being worked on at 21CMC. I had to get out of there before I put myself in serious debt.
Heres my opinion. I always spend my money on performance mods first. I could never even justify spending money on appearance mods until my car was a whole lot faster than stock. Theres only 1 thing worse than getting smoked in a race, and thats getting smoked in a race with a bunch of appearance mods on your car. Again, just my take on the situation. It's your car, do what feels right for you.
