I would LOVE to have a Z06 "beater"

The more miles, the better. No use saving it for someone else.
I had an 87IROC and a 96 SS Camaro, and sold them both to buy the 04 Z06. Drive it every day.

Daily Driver here in Texas!

No complaints what-so-ever. In fact, I highly recommend a Z as a daily driver.

Watch out for the wet pavement...and the perma-grin!

It's all fun until it snows.... woke up this a/m to a 0 degree temps and 3 inches of frozen snow everywhere. Luckliy I pulled out the '87 Toyota 4x4 beater.. got to work just fin, actully had a blast leaving it in 4x2 and drifting it around everywhere and doing donuts... was almost late to work

"Daily driver" means one thing in San Jose and Texas and another in Chicago, but I run my 02 in all the the worst conditions. Evan had it in the snow - heck, my 'beater" is an 88 GMC van with no traction control, no antilock brakes, no airbags - the Vette is a better car even in the snow. All-season tires would make it much, much better, but I won't give up performance for snow traction. I drive the van and pray.

Also, as someone else said, keeping it clean during daily use is the biggest bitch, esp with a black one.

Z06 is the daily drive for me and i have no regrets about it at all besides the fact that i lowered it all the way down and i have to get in and out of my car quite a bit and its actually a job getting in and out of it many times a day....not to mention i have a bad back

All my vette's since 1998 have been daily drivers. Which includes some bad weather from time to time. I keep plenty of Zaino on them and they always looked as good as the garage queens when I found time to detail them.

It's supposed to snow here in St Louis tomorrow, I don't think I'll drive the Z since the F1 Supercar tires are vastly different than the EMT's and the wonderful Michelin Pilot Sports I had on my 99. So tomorrow the PT goes to work.

Cheers

Tom

No, mine is not a daily driver and here is why. I want it stay very clean and looking like new. That doesn't mean I keep the car in storage, it just means I spend to much time keeping it "pretty". I don't want to many road nicks or rain grime on it. It is my pleasure car for nice days. Plus I would like to keep clean until it is at least paid for.
