XM Commander install
Had the XM Commander installed today. So far so good. Havent had alot of time to listen to it yet, but I like it so far. Nice varied selection of listening pleasures. Fine tuning shall start tommorrow.

You'll love it! I've had mine just about a year because my son gave it to me for Christmas last year. Here's how I installed mine. Alot of folks put it in the ashtray but I put it on the door instead.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions. XM is one thing I'm planning on getting for the Vette. Get your pics into your Corvette photo album here on the forum and we'll get them posted into the thread with a tutorial for you

I have XM in my new Tahoe and I don't know how I ever got along without it! I want it in the Vette but I want something wireless! I think the XM MyFi is wireless. I'am going to Circuit City today and check them out!

I just purchased a new vehicle with the XM radio... the Comedy channels are way too funny!! I was laughing my A@$ off even after I was out of the vehicle!!

Its the same subscription of XM that comes in the newer cars, but the Commander is a different type of receiver.

I too had XM in my new Z71 Tahoe and couldn't live without it. That was the first thing I put in my new 04Z. Got the family package and the new commader is only $6.95 a month additional to the $9.95 I pay for the Tahoe. I barely even listen to the regular radio any more. I went with the ash tray install. Nice and neat and looks bone stock. I'm' getting ready to upgrade the whole system then I'll be pulling out the commander and putting in the new Alpine that is all incorporated into the head unit, module and all. Just like the Tahoe. Maybe I'll put the commander in my truck

I was going to post pics..(not that I know how) , but since Noel posted pics of his, there is no need for mine. The install and location is the same. I keep the remote in the center console.

love mine. mine is in ashtray behind door and antennae is inside back bumper. as a matter of fact i did mine like two months ago and just the otehr day realized by accident i forgot to plug the FM radio antennae back in...hahah i dont use it anymore so i didnt notice it.
