Default How much to install Shift boot and E-brake boot?

What is a fair price to pay someone to install a new two tone shifter boot and E-brake boot? Where would you look to find someone to do this type of work? Some Members are doing this Mod themselves, but I can see bad things happening if I tried this one. Thanks for any advice and help.

do you have any friends who are kinda handy? doesn't require high skill level, just a little patience and go slowly. Give both total a couple hours.

I wish I did. I'm willing to pay a fair price to have it done, just don't know what fair is.

I switched mine in about 20 minutes. And that was going slow.
I would say 15-20 dollars would be more than fair for the amount of work and time involved.

This would be really easy to do yourself. Have you really looked at the Vette Essentials instructions? Like everything else they do - the instructions are well documented and have step by step photos to show you the way.

I helped a buddy install a Hurst shifter over the summer. Neither one of us had ever taken the console apart before - and it's a piece of cake. Save the $$$, do it yourself and get the satisfaction of a job well done!

Good luck!

I installed mine using Ken Kings instructions at Vette Essentials.
It's really not hard to do using his step-by-step procedure along with the great pics to help.
In any case, shouldn't take more than 2 hrs. max. (even for someone thats never done this before.)

It is very easy, not much that can go wrong. It is about an hour process, 20 to 30 minute changing the boot and the rest of the hour being amazed how well the new boots look

I wish I was closer. I just walked in the house after doing mine. Not enough work to even charge someone. Find a good friend and you can get it done in an hour.
