Electric gate nightmare - door got hit...
So, the wife and I are coming home after battling the Xmas crowds. We drove separately because we had met up after work to do some shopping. Upon our return home, I let her drive up first. She opened the electric wrought iron gate and drove on in. I drove up afterwards. She stopped her 4Runner and jumped out, absent-mindedly closing the gate behind her RIGHT ONTO ME AS I DROVE UP. My window was open and I realized in about 1/2 a second what was going on. I tried to grab the gate with my hand to try to stop it, but could only listen in dumb horror as I heard the "clangggg" of the gate against my door. Only you forum people can understand how unbelievably pizzed I got (and hurt, too, surprisingly). There's now a 2-3 mm scuff in the BSM, but no dent. THANK GOD for my BSMs. She's apologized for it, but that didn't make the sting hurt any less. I won't be talking to her for a couple of days.

Take back the gifts you bought her and get the car fixed!!!!!!
If the gifts dont cover the cost, sell her car and get her a bus pass.
If that doesnt do it.......move on to the next wife.

She probably feels terrible about it. Go easy on her - it was just an accident. Hope you get the BSM repaired and it looks good as new.

Not only that, it was "just" the BSM. For once, I have to agree that they serve a very good purpose, on occassion.I would be momentarily miffed but I'd have to forgive my wife quickly if she did something like that because it wouldn't have been on purpose. Plus, she's gotten more paranoid about scratches than I have lately. Go figure . . .

as far as the original poster.. IM sure your wife feels worse than you do.. after all she knows its your baby, and she did a stupid thing so she feels doubly upset.. T%ake it easier on her, and rememeber , who else is going to give you sex ? You should get down on your hands a knees to thank God for her

Bill, I said she is more paranoid than I am. I wanted to take the vette to the company Xmas party Sunday and she would have none of that because of all the "idiots" I work with. She said, for sure, I'd get my door dinged. Merry Christmas, Bill!
