Default Seat removal question

When you remove the power seats from the car, do you need to disconnect the battery first? No problems with disconnecting seat plugs with battery connected? Thanks.

Removed mine to install sound deadener with radio blasting (battery connected).
Of course you probably should be careful not to pinch a wire.

You should just for safety. If you pinch the harness or nick it with the seat, you could cause a short. With all the computer stuff in these cars you never know what might happen. It will cost you some seat and radio settings though. It seems others above didn't have any trouble. I would guess the shop manuel suggests it.

It is so simple to disconnect the negative terminal and avoid "Murphy".

I've taken mine out a number of times and never disconnected the battery. You should be fine.
