Clear Coat or not????
I have an on going project going for FRCs.
Should I clear coat over the letters to keep them on better.
Will it hurt the letters?
Thanks

it's not going to hurt the letters at all.

Put some clear on them. Will help hold them down. It will also make the rest of the FRC look good.

Thanks for the nice comments. I use color matching spray part # 12345142.
I used 3 coats of Krylon plastic red primer, and 2 coats of the Sebring silver metallic spray paint. (5oz was just enough for 2 coats.)
Got the can on spray from Ken fitchner chevy (sponser here).
Anyone have any suggestions for a clear coat?
Which brand of clear coat?
Thanks
Heres a few pics along the way.

I'm in the middle of the same project. I'm assuming that those letters are decals? Who did you buy the letters from? BTW- The gloss looks great!

Yes to clearcoating. One of the guys I knew that was preparing his cars for Nopi had a metallic powder coated paint job with custom cut decals that were nearly the same color as his paint, and he'd clearcoat over them to make them look natural and slightly ghosted. I hate decals, but his work looked GOOD.

Get some Clear Coat from Ken and it'll work out better. Try and use compatible paint.

Thanks again.
Yes they are decals, I don't have a steady enough hand to paint that good. I am going to go with the clear coat.
Found the decals on E-bay awhile back.
Any suggestions on a brand of clear coat?
