As I read through the posts I was thinking of doing the same thing. It's amazing how many threads accumulate tons of useless posts that say the same thing over and over because folks don't take the time to read the posts. I guess one can accumulate more stars that way

Not true, and you will be lucky if it works. For years, I got keys cut for free from all the dealers as they all know me and my business. Problem was, its not their specialty, and the keys worked maybe 50% of the time. I now pay for them at a locksmith, and have a 99% work rate.
The machines at a dealership are usually outdated and not maintained, hence a poor cut.
Actually a wedge of wood or plastic, between the window and the weatherstripping, and a piece of 1/8 in brake line works wonders on power locks.

I guess I'm lucky then because when I took my vin # in the Chevy dealer cut keys in a computerized maching and they worked perfect...I guess lots of dealers still use the old machines

No it doesn't rate for an emblem but I am willing to send you some yarn to tie to your belt loop and to your keys. When I was a kid many of the other kids had yarn attached to their mittens then looped through my jacket so they wouldn't loose them.

I was going to ask what mittens were since I grew up here in AZ but I have to admit I was almost 7 when we moved here, so I do remember mittens. The yarn might be just the trick! Thanks for the suggestion but I'm still working on getting one of your fabulous creations!

You do know what you call those mittens, don't you?
Those are, "idiot mittens". When you pull on the left one, the kid smacks himself in the face with the right!
I had just finished a 36hr poker session so i wasn't exactly thinking as clearly as usual. And low and behold, i had no more than pulled in the driveway and turned off the car when i got a call on my cell. So what do i do, i grab my phone and step out of the car with my jacket....Keys still in ignition!!...and hit the lock button on the drivers side panel as i close the door.
Now i had gotten into the habbit of hitting the lock button since my battery died in the remote entry a few days ago.
SOOOOOOOOO there ya go....it was on Xmas day to beat all too lol
36hr poker session If i had been playing poker that long I wouldn't have had to worry about locking the keys in the car. They would probably been in somebody elses pocket.
