Default Help installing Throttle Body Bypass Kit

I got the line coming from the radiator of the throttle body with no problem, but the line connecting to the intake manifold I can't seem remove for the life of me! I got the clamp off, but the hose isn't budging!! Should I just take the whole throttle body off??? Seems like kind of a pain.

Any thoughts?

On my previous C5 I took the TB off to get the hose clamp off... the damn thing was turned and i could not grab it. If you got the clamp off, you could always use a razor blade and cut it.
On my new Z, I am not going to bypass it. Doesnt seem like its worth the trouble.. In the cooler weather here. I can turn off the engine and the TB is cool... so there is not much water circulating... not enough to keep it warm from the cold air...

Oh and the manual says if you remove the TB, you need to replace the gasket... I didn't do it on my 99 and it was never a problem

Yeh, I guess I'll just cut it... Not one of those mods that I'd UNDO when I trade in the car a few years from now...

Thanks!

This is another ZERO horsepower gain add on item. Stop waisting your time and forget it.

This mod is one of those that is better left alone, it does nothing except perhaps add to your frustration level which it apperas that it already has.

SeaLawyer,

I did it on mine when I was installing the Blackwing.

I had to remove the TB. No gasket change was necessary and I didn't have to cut anything. It did give me an opportunity to give the TB a d@mn good cleaning as it was filthy from 23k miles of use.

Don't really give a rat's behind if I gain any HP or not - I just did not want hot water running through my TB for no good reason (I never drive the car in sub zero weather anyway because it's usually snowing then in my neck of the woods.

Do what you want to do - it's your car, so mod it the way you want.
