I don't know how many of you guys put your Vette away for the winter. Mine is washed, waxed, covered, Sta-bil, Battery Tended and waiting. I walk went out in my garage this morning just to look at it sitting there. We have a foot of snow outside and it seems like such a waste. Have any of you considered doing the WRX/STI thing with all season tires and getting rid of the Vette? At least I could drive that all year round.
If you buy the Subi, you'll regret it. Sure, you'll be able to drive it all year round, in rain, snow, etc. but will it give you the same joy as the vette? No. Don't get me wrong, they're nice cars but will you get the same giddy joy from looking at it, that you get from looking at your vette? Will you be able to see a caravan of vettes pass you by in your WRX and be able to hold back the tears? A couple of months of downtime is not a big deal compared to a lifetime of joy that vette will bring you. Now if you can get both, that would be ideal.

You did NOT say to get rid of the Vette, did you? Go ahead and get the STI or WRX or ABC or whatever for snow duty if you want, but get rid of the Vette??
Guess it's easy for me to say...it's a bright, clear, beautiful, sunny 43 degree day around here and I'm about to take my baby out for a drive.

Can someone ride on over to RI and give him a good
I seriously wonder what's going through someone's mind when they make a post like this.
"I think I'll go on CORVETTEforum.com and ask if people think I should get rid of my CORVETTE..."
Would you go on dallascowboysforum.com and make a post asking if they think you should become a steelers fan? What do you honestly think their answer is gonna be?
Hi Mike, I can understand how a guy from Irvine Ca can not understand the frustration of putting the Vette away for 5 or 6 months of the year. Truse me its not easy and the thought of driving an STI or EVO could give me year round driving fun rather than waiting for spring. Anyway, thanks for the advice.
park the vette, buy 94 or newer integra for under 3k, set appt. w/ shrink to make sure your alright then continue w/ lg longtubes in the spring, followed by sick cam

Get yourself a good used car for general/hardship use and keep the Vette. Lots of us have DD's for just that reason. In my case 2 used cars (Max and Vette) cost 35K, what many people spend on one new car (that loses its value when you drive off dealer lot). The Vette can sit for a few weeks at a time in TN winters. I'd sell the Max before ever considering the Vette--can always find a beater!
