From Newton, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC (245 miles), we got 29.8 MPG with a 2004 conv. with MN6 & Borla Stingers. That was with the top down and the A/C on all the way!

Drove from Ga to CO a few years ago. When I left the car had just over 2K on the clock and was at 21mpg avg. When I got the 1800miles later the avg. MPG was up to 29 for the life of the car. I didn't feel like doing the math, but that's well over 30mpg

Of course for the last 8K or so miles or so since i've been in Europe, i've been getting about 15mpg

The DIC on my '04 CE coupe is way off. It will typically show 29 MPG when I fill up, but the actual calculation is closer to 23 MPG.

Still, 23 MPG for all-around driving is pretty good.

I've seen 30mpg on trips but for some reason I usually only get around 13 - 15 mpg.

I have even gotten 29 MPG with my automatic, doing over 60 MPH. At 55, I have seen it register 31 MPG(without my wife in the car).

My stock '99 FRC would get 32 on the highway, those days are long gone, I'm lucky to get 24 on the highway now, 17 in the city. Nothing like a Supercharged 408 Stroker!!!

So, a 20% decrease in highway gas mileage, but an 88% increase in RWHP!!!

Great highway mileage on flat terrain with cruise control is no problem... but throw in city driving and I'm down to 15mpg on average.

The highway mileage I think is just a factor of low drag and really tall gearing.

Default Fresh from factory

When I bought my C5 new,I had a 280 mile drive from Drapper Chevrolet in Saginaw Mi. to my house in NW In. The ave. gas mileage was 28.7 when I checked it at home. For a car that had less than 6mi. on it when I bought it,thats awesome. Its an A4 w/2:73, the temperature that Sept. day was in the 90's.& I was'nt babying it,Michigan's speed limit is 70 in most Interstate areas ,so I was going 80 a lot of that way mostly avoiding Michigan drivers (going much faster) so I had to do that in the slow lane!

A buddy of mine and I got 34 in his 99 Coupe over a trip of a few hundred miles...

I consistently see 30+ with the manual...

Heck I had a 7.0L with 500RWHP that would get 24-25mpG!
