Just got my Hall Tech Stinger from the forum GP. Can't wait to install it.
Problem is we have winter snow now until about March. Last week I put in a Hurst shifter. Practiced shifting in the shop. Got a boot coming from Red Line. Wife gave a V1 for Christmas. I had no idea she heard me talk about one back in August.
I will put the V1 in the Sliverado and go cruising for my friend you is a local officer. Hope it works.
Do love these cars. Don't know how I got by without one.
I noticed a serious SOTP increase in response and take off after I installed mine. I love the hissing sound it makes with the air being sucked in to the engine. Definitely a highly recommended mod in my opinion.

It's just for looks. I didn't notice any performance gain after installing it.
A gain of 10+ Rear Wheel Horsepower is not what I'd consider "just for looks"! The increase is real AND noticable, especially after the computer has the time to adjust the air/fuel trim. Remember, the increase in power is most noticable at WOT, when airflow is needed the most.
Did you guys get hood seals? I don't drive alot in the rain, didn't feel it was nec.
No, since I don't drive mine in the rain, either.
Stock airbox with swiss cheese mod and K & N filter=12.21@116
Halltech Stinger= 12.27@115
This was with no other mods done between the two.
I have the Vararam back on now. Did run 11.98@116 with Halltech TRAP so we shall see what the VR does
This is only my results and is probably not the norm, but I was not blown away by the stinger.
The TRAP is a Stinger-R with a short extension tube (same air filter and airbridge), so with some time for the engine relearn, your Stinger-R times should be very close to those achieved using the TRAP.
