Default Rear carpet worn through

Just noticed that the carpet in the rear of my coupe has warn a good sized hole next to the rubber thingee that you rest the roof panel on.. I guess there's no fix for this other than replacing the carpet???

Yeah. Exactly what are you doing back there anyway?

Make a patch out of an edge piece you don't see or get one from Gene at Karshop.

Look in the hole with a flashlight....it could be you have the model with the "concealed valuables storage area". Those models were rare, and add considerable value to the car!

My carpet seems to be wearing that way as well, Actually Stuzvette showed a few signs of it as well, its almost like the holes between the two targa mounts shrink...try to restretch the carpet and you cant' do it...i'll take some more pictures of it later.

mine is also wearing on on the left side only. It is obvioulsy from the targa top. It rubs on the rug when it is stored.

does Gene have a website or a phone number? I need to get a piece of carpet for my black interrior, probably 2 x 2 feet or something.

Or do you know of any other places to get our kind of carpet (low/home depot/michaels has nothing close).

Take it to an upholstery shop and see if they have any suggestions. Only way I know of repairing it is to replace the carpet piece.
